The World Grandmasters Council
The World Soke / Sokeship Council is dedicated to the brotherhood of the martial arts.
The goal of the World Soke Council being an international sokeship organization, is to bring together headfounders, founders, fathers, grandmasters, head of family and inheritors of martial arts styles and systems from across the globe. We are non political in nature and unlike some sokeship organizations have no concern with monetary exchange. It is not our goal to make a profit from our members, nor is it to proliferate the endless yearly functions known more recently as hall of fame induction's. We are here to promote Soke, Head Founders and their arts, not to promote the council.
The soke members represented here are the absolute finest in the martial arts. To become a member you must be invited by another member, or you may submit an application via e mail for consideration.
To be considered you must submit in writing or video a body of your work in the style of art under consideration.
We here at the World Soke Council wish to promote and enlarge the territory of the martial arts for the council at large and for the individual members.
Each member of the World Soke Council will have a link to their individual web sites or have phone numbers where they may be reached in person so students and potential students may contact them to learn martial arts, obtain training or training materials, and will place a link to this council site. We hold the time old tradition of no age limits on Soke and Head Founders. There are some that say a Grandmaster must be in his 60's or it goes against tradition. What tradition would that be? All of the worlds greatest and best known martial arts systems were founded while their masters were in their 20's and 30's; Tae Kwon Do, Ju Jitsu, Shotokan, Jeet Kune Do and others. We grade our founders very hard. Quality, Originality, Integrity.
If you are unable to provide some sort of training whether personal or instructional in written or media form you must ask yourself if you are really are a representative of your system. As Soke we must give back to the martial arts and to the public. It is our duty to help others in their search to be better persons through martial art training. It is also our duty to be leaders of war arts. We are Soke. We are modern day Samurai and Warriors.

We do not accept money or payments of any kind, and the World Soke / Sokeship Council is funded by private donations from our benefactor for the sole purpose of creating honesty and integrity. When the transfer of funds becomes involved in an organization the appearance of impropriety in overwhelming. We do ask that all Soke and Head Founders place a link back to our site to keep lines of communication current and open.
